Sim Shalom

Her body is a column made of felt, with circles of free motion machine embroidery in shades of blue. The circles represent sacred unity and wholeness, without beginning or end; the color blue, peace. Glass beads add further embellishment. Her head is covered with a silk scarf hand dyed in two shades of blue. The scarf descends and encircles her body. Her right hand is raised in blessing. In her left hand she holds a handmade book, printed in Hebrew and in English with the traditional prayer of blessing: Sim Shalom.
