Autumnal Dance

Her body is made of strips of different fabrics which were over dyed to unify them, and then stitched together with machine embroidery. The fall leaves swirling around her are hand dyed & painted, then machine embroidered. I used various materials which can be heat-distressed with interesting results. Fall is my favorite time of the year, and my favorite colors.

This piece won first place in Houston Area Fiber Artists' 2007 Juried Show.
