A Woman’s Work is Never Done depicts a pioneer woman pitching hay into a wagon. She is a soft sculpture doll with facial features colored with pastels and prisma pencils. Her hair is hand dyed Tibetan lamb’s wool. She wears a cotton print dress and bonnet, with a muslin apron and suede boots. Her white cotton pantaloons are trimmed with lace. She carries a handmade wooden hay fork with leather fastening. A purchased wheelbarrow is filled with hay.
